Board of Review

The Board of Review is made up of 8 members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Common Council.  The Board of Review is not an assessing body, but a quasi-judicial body whose duty it is to hear sworn testimony regarding assessed values.  The Board of Review is bound to accept the assessor's assessment as correct unless they determine that the evidence presented proves that the assessment is incorrect.
